Sunday Scribblings: Solace

Comfort; my comfort comes from the Lord
For I lean upon His breast
and I trust upon His heart

Comfort; my comfort comes from the Lord
For I rest upon His promises
And I know He knows what's best

Comfort; my comfort comes from the Lord
For His joy eases my pain
And His peace always sustains

Comfort; my comfort comes from the Lord
For in Him I have strength
and His love carries me through

Comfort; my comfort comes from the Lord.

I wish I knew the reality of this a bit more! I think I tend to need people and places and cookies and cream ice cream to find my comfort!!

That's beautiful. And although I am a Christian, I have such a hard time letting go and giving things to God.

That is very beautiful, and very comforting, Liza. When I read it, I took "the Lord" to be God, rather than Christ, and so it didn't matter that I am not a Christian in reading it. Beautiful. I thank you for sharing this prayer/poem.
