Sunday Scribblings: Walk

Walk is such a rich term for me. There's so many things I can associate with it, so memories I can think of....

As a child, I walked to and from school. It was a nice walk full of fun time with friends. I remember stopping by a little sari-sari store (variety store) to buy a drink or buy a toy or a snack along the way....

In high school, there's also a walk from our campus to where the bus is. Our campus was in the middle of this field, and the walk to and from the field were great times with friends.

A big one: walk is what I like to do when I'm stressed. It's a great stress reliever for me. There were times when my husband and I would have a big argument, and after that (or sometimes in the middle of it) I would just go outside and walk.... walk... walk... until my anger subsides...

I like walking as an exercise. I used to walk around the neighborhood a lot and enjoyed it immensely. Now that I'm so busy, I just walk on a treadmill on our lanai (porch).

I want a lanai! However, I don't know if I would have a treadmill in there, because when I think of lanai's I think of frothy drinks!

:)

I can relate to all of these types of walks.....and remember too the walks to and from school when I was a kid, especially the ones in spring when the sun finally found it's warmth again....I remember how much more fun and easier it was to saunter home after school in spring than in the dead of winter.
