Sunday Scribblings: Misspent Youth

Looking back, looking deep
I can truly say I had
lived a life of youth well
Not perfect in any means
Not as exciting as other have been
but it was good
it was really good...

Memories I dig
brings forth joy and laughter
There were sadness but
comfort comes right after

High School Days were fun
I belonged to the "in" group
so to speak. I didn't know
how it happened but
that added a lot of self-esteem
because in high school
it's a big thing...

Regrets? I have a few ...
I wish I had been more daring as a youth
I wish I had been more adventurous
I wish I had learned and
participated in more sports

Ah, Youth...

Sweet poem ... just as there will always be regrets, there will always be opportunities. Peace, JP/deb
