The Gospel of John

I am very excited about the new series that our church started last week. The series is titled "Touching The Heart Of Christ". It is an exposition on the Gospel of John. Tomorrow, we'll start with chapter 1 and the message is about "Jesus, the Light of the World". Here's what our church announcement said about this Sunday's message and series:

The last of the four gospels was written by the closest friend of Jesus. If anybody knew Christ...he did. His name is John and he was one of the twelve disciples. At the end of his life John wants his readers to understand just who Jesus is. It's been close to 30 years since the other gospels were written so he wants to supplement the other gospels and reveal some of the details they didn't include. As we study this most read and translated book of the Bible, it will not only give us a fresh new look at Jesus, but more importantly it will get us in touch with the heart of Christ.

I can't wait to go to church tomorrow! These Sundays teaching will help prepare our hearts for "Easter"... Stay tuned, I'd be sharing some of the things I'll learn :)

We've been covering the book of John and just finished 14. It's been very revalent to what's been occurring in my life.
Sounds like a great series.
