Happy New Year - We're Sick

I know it's 11:44 PM. I feel asleep in my daughter's room, on the floor while reading the book Hank Zipzer to her. I had a couple of hours nap, yes - there on the floor - then hubby woke me up to go to bed.

But the laptop was calling my name. So after I brushed my teeth and put my PJ on I heeded the call ;) I was planning on posting my Thursday 13 and Thankful Thursday posts but my brain is not cooperating. It just wanted to read other people's blogs (which I did) and when I told it that it won't be a TT and TT post, but just rambling, it started working.

About the title? Oh yeah, we're sick. HubbyB, G (I'd call him Naruto Boy from now on) and I. We all caught this on New Year's Eve. I have a severe runny nose and Hubby and Naruto Boy have headaches and body aches. Naruto Boy also had a temperature.

N (I'd now call her Surfer Girl) learned surfing today and loves it! A good friend of ours taught her how to ride a wave in the ocean. She's so excited! They're going back to the beach tomorrow for more surfing. And here's what she said: "Mom, remember how I've always wanted a Puppy and that's what I wanted you to get me for Christmas? Well, I changed my mind. I now want a surf board!" She didn't get the Puppy this Christmas, and I told her the Surf Board might come in Christmas 2008 - that is if she keeps surfing this year :).

Almost 12 - need to sleep. Good Night.

If I don't get to post tomorrow, count this as my post for Jan 3. Did I tell you I signed but for 365 days of posting daily? I'm crazy, I know.

UPDATE at 6:45 PM on January 4th:

Sunday Scribbling's prompt this week is NEW or NEW YEAR. Since the title of this post has a "Happy New Year", I thought I'd use this one. For a more serious scribbling of my new year's resolutions and goals, go HERE. For read more scribblings on New or New Year, visit Sunday Scribbling.

I'm sorry you are all sick. Hope you all get to feeling better real soon. I was thrilled to see you mention Naruto, I though my son was the only one hooked on the show. He created his own Sasuke costumer for Halloween this last year.

We were all sick right before Christmas, so we were able to ring in the New Year without fevers, coughs and runny noses. Not to say that our New Year, thus far, has been fantastic...pretty stressful and it is only Jan. 4th!

I hope you all feel better real soon! And I love the surfboard idea! My son & daughter are hoping for a puppy 2008 Christmas...or a pool table. LOL

I'm sorry to hear that you're sick. We're hopefully over the worst of it here now. In fact, my TT this week and the post which immediately preceedes it are both about cold remedies.

Sending some cyber chicken soup your way.
