It seems like
the only thing that doesn’t change on earth
is the fact that everything changes.
Some sooner
Some later
But change is inevitable.
Seasons change.
People change.
Circumstances change.
To fight change
Is to fight a losing battle
It is better to yield
Change
Can be a blessing
Can be a curse

Nice.
(and a nice entry to come out of hiding over as well)
Some change is so welcome, it's like rain after a long drought. Some change is so painful, it can barely be borne. But we cannot control so much of it. Sigh.
This is so true, as well as beinng a skillful poem. I feel it more as I get older and many of the changes are in my physical abilities. The world has changed a lot in the 87 years that I have been in it.
Sigh...God didn't make us to stand still, did he?
I agree it can be both...change is an opportunity...
Change is as good as a rest - but sometimes we need a rest from change.
So true Liza! I need to learn to stop fighting change!
Neat, short lines that say a lot.
Yup, we never know what is around the next corner. Whatevr is going to happen is going to happen.
I like the 3-line stanzas!
I don't necessarily like change, but it is life. Good poem. BJ
Some changes can't be stopped. True. But live fish must keep swimming upstream sometimes.
The poem was well done.
and for me it has become a life's work...
very nicely stated liza....
You are a wise woman
Hi!
I like your poem. It is so true! Take Care!!
Sherrie
change - a blessing and a curse
Well said. Short, sweet and to the point, I really appreciate your style.
nice piece - we just can't seem to fight city hall, as the old expression goes - change evokes such fear, however much you try to resist!!!
