Works For Me Wednesday: A Year Or Two Behind in Internet Technology

I just joined Facebook today. I did because I wanted to "snoop" at some friends' Facebook pages and I can't do it if I'm not a "friend" in Facebook :). When Facebook first came out, I heard about it but was reluctant to try. "Everyone" joined in ... well almost everyone, but I didn't. It's only now that I did. And I probably won't be there much either (no more extra computer time, blogging is enough for me) but like what I said, I just want to snoop on (ahem, visit) some friends ...

It's funny, I joined blogging kind of late too. When I joined in 2006, I read something like blogging has already reached it's peak and people are now losing interest on it. I thought, fine, they can lose interest but I am now just starting. Thankfully, I don't think many has really lost interest and the blogsphere is still growing.

And of course there's that Twitter. The new thing, which obviously I have not joined yet. Maybe next year ;)

I'm just saying ... I am always a year or two behind, but that "works for me".

I recently wrote a tirade about all this stuff. I can only handle so much social networking! I used to have a myspace page and everything. I don't even IM anymore, so burnt out on it all!

I started blogging in 2005 when it was very new for the adoption bloggers. There were originally something like 8 of us adopting from Russia and now there are hundreds of Russian adoption blogs.

I just joined Facebook last month and I think it is rather dumb (other than Bubble Town, search for it. I'm sorry in advance)

I joined Twitter the same day I did Facebook. Now Twitter... I loves me some twitter.

MySpace drives me to drink. I refuse.

Facebook is great for stalking friends!! Ooops, what I meant to say was, it's a great way to keep in touch with people and also to catch up with old friends you wouldn't be in touch with otherwise.
