My Nights ...

Five thirty cook dinner
Six o'clock eat
At seven wash the dishes
Eight o'clock I'm beat

Eight thirty bed time warning
Eight forty five read with kids
Nine O'clock lights out
Time to pray with kids

Nine thirty start blogging
Ten O-clock sleep
But that's not what always happens
Wishful thinking I'd say

My nights are long
My nights are tiring
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep

So true! Even after I say, "I'm going to bed", I spend nearly half and hour walking around, picking things up, locking doors, turning off lights, and straightening things before I finally make it to bed.

You do a good job of recreating a typical evening in any mother's life!

Oh, the difference between theory and practice! I liked this piece a lot!

So I'm not the only one then. I'll often say "I'm going to bed," then two hours later having found something else to occupy me I'm still up.

That's lovely! Makes me all the more thankful that I live alone!
