National Wear Red Day

Wear Red DayI almost forgot about this. Good thing I visited Genbetween and got reminded. I just recalled that Blogher has been promoting this too. Ah, I am just tired tonight so my memory is not at par, thank goodness it's still working :0. Here are some info of what's it's about according to Busymom at Genbetween:

Heart disease is the number one killer of women, one in four women die from it each year. And, often women with heart disease are misdiagnosed, or, not treated at all.

Celebrate the kick-off to American Heart Month with National Wear Red Day and The Heart Truth, on February 1st, 2008 (tomorrow!) a day when Americans nationwide wear red to show their support for women’s heart disease awareness.

Join the Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; Office on Women’s Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; WomenHeart: the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease; American Heart Association; and many other groups to promote National Wear Red Day in your local community.

Wear your favorite red shirt, accessory, lipstick or whatever you have and join in to raise awareness of women’s heart disease.

I already have chosen what I'm going to be wearing tomorrow. Definitely red. If I get motivated, I might get a photo of myself. Might...
