Proverbs 16:18 says "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall."
Well, today I was "feeling proud" that my ranking at Blogtopsite rose up to 42. Hubby and I went for a walk and when I came back, the ranking went down to 413. That can't be right. I thought there was a mess up and so I contacted blogtopsite via e-mail. Being so impatient that I am, I logged on the blogtopsite and tried to fix the problem. Got frustrated and deleted my listing - did not really intend to delete it but I did (destruction).
Thinking more about it, they probably just did their re-set and it just happened that I looked at it at the beginning of re-set. DUH!
I will register again later. For now, I just need to let it go (and be humble)...

Liza - funny you should mention this. I think blogtopsites is screwy. At least this week it is! I watched my number fly up to 35 last week. It resets on Sundays, and Sunday morning I was up in the 400s. It slowly worked down to 175 by today, but in looking at blogs around mine, that just doesn't make sense. I had been in the 80-100 range for weeks. Except when it resets on Sundays, I always jumped up in the 300s for just a day. But it never has lasted into Monday.
I emailed them and got no response, so I took mine down on purpose. The top blog area one doesn't seem to be as popular, but it also seems to stay a little more steady. So I left that one up.
Anyway, just wanted you to know that you're not crazy! There is something wacky going on at blogtopsites.
