We had a great Sunday Service at Hope Chapel Maui today, the worship, the teaching (about prayer) ... I learned a lot and felt encouraged and inspired ...
Every after service, my usual routine is to go to the Christian bookstore and see what new books they have in Parenting and Family Life section. This morning, a new book (which is actually not so new) caught my eye: The Plan A Woman in the Plan B World. The title was a bit "weird", I initially thought. Then I browsed through it, and with just a few pages I realized that this books fits me. Some of the examples were like my life story ....
It's 10 pm Sunday night and I am having one of those "Sunday Blues" wishing I can be a full time mom for the rest of my kids' teenage years, before they go off to college (yep, my so called Plan A)
But this book ... this book will encourage me to press on. Yeah my Plan A is to be a full time mom, but I can be happy, satisfied, successful with Plan B (working mom blessed a job I enjoy doing). I just really need to trust that God will work all together for the good .... Hmmm, I think I am going back to the bookstore tomorrow to buy this book.
And back to the Sunday message ... I know I need to spend more time with our Father, our God, our Abba. The lyrics on this worship song sung this morning says a lot of what I feel about spending time with God ... talking to Our Father, here is what I am going to say:
