Tackle It Tuesday: De-cluttered and More

Imagine the before picture: piles and piles of clothes,
towels and blankies on top of these washer/dryer
you won't see the controllers

Usually, I take a photo of before and after. Sometimes I take a photo of before and say I'd post the after later but always forget to post later. Today I did not get a chance to take a photo of the before, what you are seeing here is the "after".

Thanks to the Labor Day holiday, I was able to do a lot of de-cluttering today. I sent hubby down to the beach with the kids and I stayed home did these chores that otherwise I wouldn't have had time to do if there was no holiday.

* Fold 6 loads of laundry - check!
* de-clutter top of the washer dryer - check!
* de-clutter table under the big mirror - check!
* de-clutter kids computer desk - check!

I already feel like it's a million dollar accomplishment. I should do more de-cluttering - it seems like a good de-stressing tactic :)

I'd say it's a million dollar accomplishment - WOW! It looks great. Just FYI, I used to leave clothes on top of the dryer, but three heating elements later, a repairman told me that leaving clothes on top creates so much static that it wrecks the mother board in the dryer. I don't keep clothes up there anymore and all is well....except for the floor of my room which is where the clean clothes go!

That's why I like holidays for it gives me more time to do housework and general cleaning. I lived in my inlaws 25-year old bungalow and I tell you, the cleaning could never really end.

It's all so shiny! We tackled loads and loads of laundry this weekend too (I roped my husband into helping me fold & put away though!)
