Nanay (my mom) called today to thank us for the money we sent them. It was bittersweet. Part of me is relieved knowing that they (my parents) are back in the Philippines, back to where they are most comfortable at; but part of me miss them being here....
The photo above is one of the few baby photos I have. I am the second child in the family, I was born 15 months after my older brother. My brother has tons of baby photos - I don't. I used to give my parents a hard time about the fact that I have less baby photos :) ...
My mom and I are different in so many ways, yet we are also the same in many ways. Bottomline, we both love being a mom ....

I think being so close to Mother' Day that we are all thinking about our Mom. I posted about my mom too and I have seen a few other participants that have too. Nothing wrong with that, Moms are special!
Love the photo. What a cutie you were!
Jen
Liza, that was so sweet. Thank you for sharing it. I think you are adorable and your mom must be so proud of you as a mom.
Thanks for playing along. Happy Mother's Day to both of you!
Our first child has several photo albums. The second, has just 1. The poor third child, she has one of those portable pocketbook photo albums from the drug store. Poor child. I tell her that her baby book is lost somewhere. She's not one to me yet. :D

So sweet. I'm the oldest, so there are tons of pictures of me. Hardly any of my sisters.
Sweet baby picture!
If you think number 2 child doesn't get much, just think about what happens when number 7 comes along!! "Oh she's walking? Oh well, they all do it sooner or later!" (not that bad...)
Too funny!
I love that picture! You look so cute! It seems like the more kids you have the less pictures you take of them as babies. I know this happened to mine. :)
Hey- want me to help you make the most of this photo (since you have so few)? Send me the file to my e-mail and I will be happy to enhance, clean up and even do some colorizations for you. Consider it a mothers day gift or something...
Just a thought!
Oh, it is a great photo!
It is very sweet.
Happy Mother's Day and thanks for stopping by my blog today!
You must miss them so much... we moved 5 hours away from my parents 2 years ago, and I miss them still.
We make up for it by stealing minutes in between carpools and lunch breaks, but phone calls are probably more expensive for you to call your parents in the P.I.
I am the eldest and my brother was born 18 months after me. Same thing... not as many pictures, and I shouldn't have to wonder if he feels the same as you...
