Works For Me: Back Pain Relief: Salonpas

A lot of us experiences back aches. For me, the best remedy is "rest" coupled with a "good massage". But I can't get that luxury all the time. Things needs to be done. I have places to go (a.k.a. work), projects to be accomplished and so I can't just rest. I guess I could just take some Ibuprofin for back pain relief but I do not like taking medicine (my body have had enough already, I'd like to limit med intake).

A friend of mine gave me a SALONPAS strip, and boy oh boy it was such a relief. My hubby is not particularly fond of the smell but my kids and I like the smell. I know many "senior citizen" uses it, and I guess I just joined their club. The important thing is, it works (quick relief but nor long term remedy)! I get immediate pain relief when my back muscles starts tightening and gives me pain. SALONPAS, it's inexpensive and can be bought over the counter. Got back pain? neck and shoulder pain? Try SALONPAS STRIP.

I have never heard or seen this before. I will have to look for it next time I'm at the pharmacy. My husband gets bad back pain. This would be great if it works for him!
Thanks

I have something called sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and I've used these. They're really great, despite the smell. If you have a Walgreen's near you, keep you eyes on their weekly circular--they often have coupons or sales on this!
For the record, the sacroiliac joint (SI joint) is where your pelvic bone attaches to the base of your spine. It sure is a mouthful to say, LOL!

a more long term remedy for back pain can come from changing the mattress you sleep on. there are many specialist mattresses out there designed to alleviate back and neck pains (orthapedic / memory-foam / tempurpedic). Although the specialist mattress prices can be much higher than standard springed equivilants, the benefits are almost immediate and this should justify the premium
