Change in blogging

I am changing my blogging. I am in the process of taking away all references to my family life. I am leaving all my worship lyrics posts, poems, Sunday Scribblings and other posts not directly connected to my family life. This is now going to be "sort of a personal spiritual journey blog", not a parent blog or mom blog anymore. I will go back to my "low tech journal" (yes, the old style, not digital, and only I can see) for all other thoughts and prayers related to my family.

The good news is, I am also deleting all the ads. I will not have the pressure of making money through my blog anymore. I will no longer blog daily, butI will continue to blog...

I was very close to deleting my whole blog and discontinuing blogging. But I think that's exactly what Satan would want me to do. The harvest in the blogosphere is plentiful but the laborers are few.... God has used and is using this humble blog in a mighty way. Therefore I will continue...

* still in the process of deleting.. I have to delete one post at a time, I couldn't find a way to mark and delete all posts which mentioned my family all at once... so this might take a couple of days....

Hi Liza,

First we'd like to apologise for not responding to your comments (IE) on time. We've been so so busy & kept postponing. We enjoyed visiting your blog, & we'd love to say, "keep up the good work of faith!" We believe that whether a blog or site seems to carry a message for only Christians or non-Christians alike, it doesn't matter, as long as its done by faith in Christ...the Spirit of the Lord will do the rest. Keep on blogging & God bless you plenty!

House of Virtue,

There's no need to apologize for the delay in response...in fact your comment today came is just at the right time.

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

~love your faith-filled blog. I have trouble separating my family from my spiritual life...it is so connected. Good luck and God Speed.

Hi Hazel,

Thank you for your kind words. I know it would be very hard doing what I am attempting to do..because like what you said, it's hard to separate family from spiritual life...it is so connected.

The change was triggered by my husband's comments about my blog (he doesn't like me blogging about our family). Although he did not directly asked me to stop doing it...I made the choice so as to avoid future "discord" on this matter.

We'll see. This decision is not set on stone (more of the effect of my PMS - LOL!!!!). Although the deletion of all my previous posts with reference to my family are all permanent, I may someday go back to posting again :)

I'll follow where the Lord leads. As of now...it's "honoring" my husband. I placed quotations on that honoring because I really am not doing it gracefully....it's more out of "rebellion" ..like "oh, yeah..you don't like it?, well, I'll take it out!" - LOL!

Thank you again for your comment. It's very much appreciated.

I'm glad you decided to keep blogging. God is clearly taking you on a journey through your blog, and it is an encouragement to read. It is so hard to know where to draw the line when it comes to what to post and what not to post. Lately I've been feeling like I am not sure why I blog anymore. But God has used it and the people I have met through it, so I'm just going to continue to offer it to Him and see where it takes me. Sounds like you are going to do something similar, which is cool. Anyway, your heart for God is a real encouragement, so keep blogging!
