On Waiting To Be A Mother

A friend of mine is going through some tough times this month. They are in the process of invitro and the first implant did not take. It would have been nice if she got pregnant by Mothers Day, but she won't. They would have to wait for another month to try again. "All I wanted most is to be a Mother" she wrote. It broke my heart when I read that e-mail. She's been waiting for a long time. It's hard to be surrounded by friends with kids when you are wanting to be a mom and still couldn't.

I previously blogged about this subject when my sister in law was waiting to get pregnant. The post can be found here. I am happy to announce that the waiting game for her is over because on February 14, 2008 she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

Therefore I am continually be praying for my friend. That the next invitro implant would take. That she would be pregnant and will conceive and deliver an healthy baby. I know it can happen. I know it will.

Cry Out To Jesus - Third Day (2005)

To everyone who's lost someone they love
long before it was their time.
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye.

And to all of the people with burdens and pains
keepin' you back from your life.
You believe that there's nothing
and there is no one who can make it right.

There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are.

Cry out to Jesus. Cry out to Jesus.

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They lost all of their faith in love.
and they've done all they can to make it right again
still it's not enough.

For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
you try to give up but you come back again.
Just remember that you're not alone
in your shame and your suffering.

There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are.

Cry out to Jesus.

When you're lonely and it feels like the whole world is falling on you
you just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus

Cry to Jesus.

To the widow who suffers from being alone,
wipin' the tears from her eyes.
For the children around the world without a home,
say a prayer tonight.

There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
that meets you wherever you are.
There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
that meets you wherever you are.

Cry out to Jesus. Cry out to Jesus.

Cry out to Jesus. Cry out to Jesus.

It's great to hear about your sister-in-law's blessing that is on the way. I hope that things work out for your friend, soon. I tried to have a baby for over two years and just when I was convinced that I was infertile - it happened. Now, I've got 5. I guess it hadn't been God's time for me yet. I know that it's so hard to wait, especially when it seems like everyone else is having babies.
