Tackle It Tuesday: Counter Clutter

We have an island in our kitchen. It's a big island that one of the carpenter who installed it called it a peninsula instead of an island. My hubby likes to bake and so eh likes this big space to work on. the problem is it can easily become a clutter collector, especially when we get so busy that we just throw stuff on top and never get a chance to sort it out. Well, tonight I had enough of it - I couldn't stand looking at the clutter any longer that I decided it would be my "Tackle It Tuesday" project. Well here it goes:
BEFORE:

AFTER:

Now the question is "how long will this neat space last?"

I can see where that would become a "clutter spot." That's how I feel my kitchen table becomes sometimes.

Great job, and keep it up!

Unfortunately our counter leans this way, too! I totally understand. It is a clutter magnet!

apparently, you mistee and I all live in paralell universe's where we had the same cluttered island and got the same memo to clean it on the same day.

How odd.
