Fireproof Your Marriage

Most of you have seen the ad on my side bar - the movie Fireproof is coming up. The first day of showing is September 26, and I am sure I would watch it. I am very curious about this film as my husband and I will go through a trying times in the next few days, next few weeks, and probably the next few months. I cannot blog in detail about it yet because I have not talked to my husband about it yet. I am sure both of us will be needing a "fireproof" vest while discussing this very important issue that is crucial to our marriage.

Do Not Give Devil A Foothold. Just this past week (actually about two weeks ago), hubby and I had this little misunderstanding. He said something that I saw as "accusatory" and instead of clarifying it I shut down. And when I shut down my husband gets very frustrated. And when he gets frustrated I shut down even more if you know what I mean (maybe you don't know what i mean but I am not elaborating at this time). (Pause) OK.... I just deleted several sentences. I am thinking I probably shouldn't be blogging about that incident right now. I guess my point in my desire to share about it is that in the end it was resolved, but during the time that it wasn't I was actually giving the devil a foothold in our relationship because inside of me I was steaming... I was angry ... and I wasn't telling him (my husband). One of these days I'll share more about this...

It's 3:48 in the morning. I know... I should go back to bed....

I will try to get the part 2 of this written tonight but would like to link this to Lizzie's blog right away so I'd do that. We had a major (yes, major) conflict last night but it was resolved before we sleep. Thank God :)

Go there to read about "God's Work" in our lives :)

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. I saw their other two movies:
Facing the Giants
Flywheel

I hope everything is okay.

I'm looking forward to seeing this too.

((Hugs)) hang in there. I'm a testament to the fact that God can do HUGE things in a marriage.

Thanks for participating.
