Works For Me Wednesday: Family Walks

I just got back from walking with my kids. My kids and I are starting a "tradition" :) - we do fun walks together. It's a good 45 minutes to an hour walk. It's a good way to get exercise as well as connect with my kids, because as we walk, we talk. Of course there's always the motivation part or the fun part. The first time, we walked we went to the ice cream store. Tonight we went to the Health Food Store. Next time, ABC store :) ... This family walk works for us :)

We used to walk together almost every night when I was a kid. It was some of the most enjoyable times we spent; I really look back it fondly. (And I whined and complained about it then!)

Have you tried Letterboxing? Most times, there's quite a bit of walking involved...I bet the kid would love it! I blogged about it on one of my blogs here: http://southshorekids.blogspot.com/

We try and go every few weeks or so!

Excellent habit for families to get into! My dogs would groove on it, too.

Bravo for you!

We did this a lot when my son was smaller - I need to pick it back up. Plus, we're getting a dog, so no better time like the present. Thanks for sharing :)
