Ragamuffin Top Challenge

These will also be my Weekly Winners photos for this week:

My goal to run the 10K this weekend wasn't accomplished. I was just not ready for it. However, I will run the 10K in memory of Terry Fox in November (I heard they now call it A Day of Hope instead of Terry Fox Run). I will also run a the Maui Tacos 5K in September.

Instead of running the Iao 10K, I decided to volunteer. I had fun doing it with my friend Cassie. I got a free cool T-shirt too. See below:

What could be a more appropriate photo for this post than the muffins :). A reminder that I need to work harder on this Ruggamuffin Top Challenge. No bailing out, no more delaying. I've got to get serious on this.

And so when I went home after the volunteering stint, I hopped on the treadmill and did my "training". Starting over on my log: Day 1 - 33 mins; 2 miles; speed 3; slope 3. Goal for this coming week: run at least 3 miles.

I'm glad you decided to volunteer, and that you knew your body's limits not to try to run too soon.

Good luck with your training -- you can do it!
