A Welcome Like Heaven

I shared about the home coming of our pastor Kit on this post. Kit was diagnosed with leukemia several months ago and after two unsuccessful chemo treatments on Honolulu, the doctors did not recommend another one. We are not giving up hope. Our trust is in God.

So from Honolulu, they came home to Maui on Sunday afternoon. One of our church members put together and excellent slide show which I'd like to share with you HERE....

Before you go there, I also would like to mention that I am blogging at the Johnsons' Ohana Blog. The "coming home" was mentioned there several times as an illustration of how our friend Joey will be welcoming us in heaven someday. When you get a chance, I encourage you to leave a comment for my friends Karen and Joe whose grief is beyond words at this time.

And so this Thusday, I am thankful for:
1) Eternal Life
2) Family
3) Church and Friends
4) Healing
5) Blogging
6) Rest and Peace In Christ

Liza,

This hits pretty close to me. We are in the midst of helping my sister fight the most aggressive form of brain cancer. I'm so sorry for your losses.

I'm so thankful that even though we may lose someone here on earth, we have the promise of seeing them again.

Blessings

Cheryl

Yes Liza you do have such a caring heart!
There is a song by the christian band Stellar Kart, it's a goofy tune, but the words are profound. "Life is good, eternal life is better!"
That God for eternal life.

I said a prayer for Joey's parents, the Lord Himself will comfort them. I'll keep praying for your pastor, God specializes in situations that seem impossible.
