When Our Prayers Are Not Answered ...

We prayed ... hundreds of us...
We prayed for healing.
We prayed that the bone marrow test will yield a good result.

But tonight,
tonight Maisha posted that the test result
is not what we prayed for.

The 2nd chemo they did at Kit didn't work.
And the doctors are not recommending another chemo.
Kit will come home to Maui ...

And so I am asking God "why"?
No I am not angry... it's not an angry "why"
It's a why of a child
wanting to know the reason... why

Have we not prayed enough?
Have we not fasted enough?
Didn't we have enough faith?

Why is He not healing Kit?
Maybe He still would...
But if not,
why?

It's a hard news to take.
I know God is sovereign
And He knows what's best.
But we are humans,
and humans do not see
what God sees...

And so what do we do now?
Do we stop praying
since God will do what He wants to do anyway?

And so when God does not answer our prayers
The way we want Him to,
what do we do?

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Thank you Lord that in difficult times, we can find comfort in You. Thank you that you know what is best for us. Thank you that you are holding Kit in your right hand...Our hope is in You...

I am praying for Kit and for your family. Thank God that you are finding comfort in Him. May you continue to rest in His love. May God continue to keep you, Kit and family near to Him and work His best for all of you.

Praying,

I know exactly what you mean - I have had treatments go "wrong" etc., just remember that God is still there with Kit and be thankful that He is a caring God.

When we reach the end of our rope, that's when we realize that Jesus is there.

"Give thanks in all circumstances..."

Don't give up! Keep praying for God's will to be done and know that HE has a plan. It may not be what we want but only HE can see the future and why HE does what HE does. One day you will understand.
Keep Hoping; Keep the Faith and Keep Praying! Our God is an AWESOME GOD...even when he doesn't answer our prayers the way we want HIM too. I prayed for you has I wrote these words.
Hope this helps,

There is always a miracle when we pray; however, it is not always the miracle we hope or want to see. Remember to F.R.O.G. (Fully Rely On God) and lean on His understanding.

Huge hugs - I know this was not the results you and your church hoped for. I will continue to pray!
