Sunday Scribbling: Soar/Sore

When I saw the prompt for this week's Sunday Scribbling, an idea came popping into my head as to what I can scribble about. Then I thought I shouldn't. It's something I am dealing with... and probably should not post about until it's truly resolved in my heart... And so maybe a poem would suffice....

SORE SPOT

I was wounded, bruised and hurt
Not many knows how deep
Not many knows ...

I thought healing would come quickly
It wasn't that bad
so it seems

And yet even though the wound
have slightly healed
and there are no more tears

The soreness remains

And I know why
I know exactly why

It's because the enemy saw my vulnerability
The devil saw my weak spot

And just when I thought
the wound have healed
the enemy pokes and hits

Someday this wound will heal
A scar might be left behind
But it will hurt no more

But until then
I would have to bear
And the enemy
I have to fight

The enemy
who throws fiery arrows in my head
and makes me think of thoughts that are not mine
and makes me feel emotions
that should have been left behind

And so when the battle rages
When I have to fight
Help me Lord to remember
the battle belong to You,
not mine.

I wish I knew more about the origin of your sore spot. I hope it heals without a scar!

I'm very sorry you are struggling with this but in time you will gain many tools to fight this battle. God is your shield and will always hold you up. HUGS

the emotion is raw and your struggle is real, but don't lose faith in your inner strength....
