Sometimes God Has A Funny Way Of Answering Prayers - ( well, maybe not funny, different from what I'd expect)

there are a lot more photos there - check it out.

Well... those of you who read my post yesterday? Because of a "storm" that came to Maui, our office was shut down, the kids were sent home, our electricity was out (no power in the whole town I live in). Talk about keeping my priorities straight: I spent a lot of time with the kids - I can't work or blog and kids can't watch DVD or play in with the computer :). I got all the laundry folded; de-cluttered a lot. Who would have thought I a storm would enable me to accomplish some things I wanted to accomplish and didn't know when I could? - LOL!

We still don't have electricity in the town we live in. Our office is still shut down but I sneaked in here because there's power in this part of town. Took the kids to McDonalds and stopped by here in the office to charge my cell phone. Because our regular phone needed electric power, we couldn't use it. I think I'd have to buy the old kind of plug-in phone for such a time like this. The food in our ref are probably going bad by now because power went out since yesterday morning and still not back ...

I have such great plans for Thursday 13 and Thankful Thursday - I guess those have to wait until next week :)

Aloha. I'd blog again when the electric power is back in our town.

UPDATE: THANKFUL THURSDAY

Power is back! God kept us safe throughout the storm. We are thankful.

Sounds like that storm came at just the right moment! It's amazing how much I can get done without all the usual "distractions." ;)

Storms knock out the power down here near the Gulf coast, too, sometimes. No fun!!! But you were able to find the good in it and accomplish things that were important. Blessing in disguise for you.

Oh my, Liza! Glad you found "THE SHELTER" in life's storm. What a huge storm that must have been. Glad you are alright.

I'd just as soon keep our power. It's a little cold right now.

Blessings!
