Another Post In Which I Talk About Wanting To Be A Stay At Home Mom, Or At Least A Very Part Time Working Mom

I'm glad my husband does not read my blog because he really does not like hearing me talk about wanting to quit my job and stay at home (sorry honey, I needed to vent). And the truth is, I love my job and is enjoying it a lot. It's just that I know I am not spending enough time with my kids ... it's like I know what I need to do with them (to nurture them to the best of my ability) but I do not have the time to do all the things I need and want to do. They are growing so fast ... next thing I'll know they'd be teenagers. Sigh!

There you go, my vent for the day. Thanks for listening.

I understand. I hate to EVER complain about my job (I'm bored...not challenged) because I have an extremely flexible schedule and am only going in 16 hours a week now. But still it seems I just do not have "enough" time for my family!

Oh Liza do I understand!!!!!!!!!!!
It is such a balancing act. But regardless my family is my priority, God has called me to be a wife and mother first and foremost. Right now I feel like I can so carefully balance the two and the family comes out on top..but it is delicate. I will pray for you. God will direct you on this matter, he has guided our hearts MANY times over the years in this area.

I agree! I have started an "anonymous" online journal about my struggle to want to be at home with my children (actually number two is well on her way due at the start of April). But now to stay at home and provide the little bit of extra income each month needed to cover the gap in our very meager yet very real expenses?! www.mamacomeshome.blogspot.com

I so whole heartedly agree with you and feel your struggle daily. I've started an anonymous online journal, trying to work out the details of actually coming home, despite what seems to be insurmountable financial odds. Some folks have given us very good advice so far, much though, we've already considered and are trying to put into practice. www.mamacomeshome.blogspot.com
