Family Fun At The Fair

I am big on "making memories". I believe that the more good memories our kids have while they are growing up, the better they would be at going through the stresses of life, simply because they'd have something to hold on to when times get tough.

Good memories do not have to be extravagant. It does not need to be a trip to the Disney World (although that would be nice). Memories can be created right at our very own backyard.

One "memory maker" that I like is "going to the County Fair". It costs a little bit more than the usual recreation we do, but it only happens once a year so it's worth it.

Our time at the fair this year was fantastic! First, we got to spend the day with our good friends (K,C,J and L). Second, we decided to splurge by buying the wrist band for the ride. The band caused us $25 each but it entitled us to unlimited rides! Unlike the previous years when we always had to warn our kids to choose only 3 rides they'd want to go, this year they can go to as many rides as they want. We all had a blast.

And so amidst the dust and the heat, our family had a great time. Our whole family rode on the big hanging swing (that goes up and around) for the first time. It was not as scary as it looks. You'll see a photo of it on the Slide Show above.

Liza - we did the fair as well this year (our first time). It's definitely something I want to budget in for next year.

Loved your pictures.
