Clutter

Today is Saturday and I am determined to de-clutter.

I do not know why, but I have this amazing ability to collect clutter - not that I am proud of it - it fact, I am ashamed of it - and it's something I need to work on.

Maybe it's the insecurity
and the fear to throw out something that I might need later.

Maybe it's holding on to memories
. I keep a lot of my kids' school work, even old notebooks, old seat works, etc. Many of these I really need to let go of, and just keep a few. I keep a lot of old birthday cards, and Christmas cards, etc..

And clutter is not only limited to these stuff that I have to sort out today. I also need to look at the clutter in my schedule and our family. Sometimes we fill out lives with so many activities that some of these activities are just clutter...

Now, if you'd excuse me, I am off to this very important task of de-cluttering. Wish me luck.

Good luck!

Um, have you seen my desk here at home? (It's awful!) We are having a big United Way benefit yard sale at my office on Friday. I can't wait to "declutter" for a cause.

I am struggling with Miss C's school work already. She's only finished week three of kindergarten and I have never seen so much "take home" work in my life! I am afraid to toss any of it yet, but then I can't possibly keep all of it.

Here's a hint: when your kids come home from school with their art, stand them up somewhere, holding their art. Take a picture, then put the artwork up for a few days. Then when you take it down, you can dispose of it discreetly (if it's not a keeper) and you'll have a photo of them with the artwork forever. It's also nice because 20 years from now you'll be reminded of what age your child was when they did that artwork, because they're in the picture too! Yeah, I wish I did that, but I heard of this tip when K was too old to bring artwork home. ~Lisa

Oh, another clutter-freak... I think I love you! I see that you went to Family Taekwondo instead, but I believe that you'll declutter eventually, even if it's next year.

And thanks so much for your kind comment on my blog. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support I've gotten from great women (and bloggers) like you.
