Consider It All Joy - Thankful Thursday

Consider it all joy, my brethren,
when you encounter various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith
produces endurance.
And let endurance
have its perfect result,

that you may be perfect and complete,
lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4 (NASB)

In line with Nattie's post "for everyone I thing I dislike, there's a myriad of things I like", I'd say "for every trial and difficulty I have, there's so much blessing I have to be thankful for"....

1. Nanay is having sporadic chest pains and headaches.
Thankful that she's alive and relatively in good health at age 72; Thankful that's she' s able to come visit the US; Thankful that Tatay is always there for her;

2. Honey B has some difficulties at work.
Thankful that he's got a job; that his relationships and position is a lot better now that few years ago; Thankful that his job is secure; Thankful that he has many benefits there.

3. I'm stressed (I took one of those online tests and result said my stress level is high) Thankful that I am dealing with my stress and not denying it. Thankful that in my weakness God is strong. Thankful that I've got friends on-line and off-line praying for me. Thankful that I know this will pass. Thankful for my family. Thankful that there are so many promises in the Bible that I can hold on to at this time.

Liza,

This is one of my favorite verses. Philippians 4:13. I say it aloud. over and over, when I am stressed. It is awesome.

Thank you for sharing.

In every dark cloud, you've found a silver lining. We should all have such a positive attitude!
