Saying Goodbye Is Hard To Do

In just a few days, reality would hit us that our dear friends, the Sowers (B, K, M, and C) are not going to be our neighbors anymore. It really makes me sad thinking about it...

We met the Sowers about 4 years ago. We just moved into our new home, and we were walking around the neighborhood when the Sowers came out of their house to also have a "family walk". We then walked together.

We invited them to our new house (to show off :) ) and they invited us to their house (to feed us dinner :) ). That was the start of what we called "impromptu dinner invitations" wherein we would be calling each other to see what we're eating and then we'll decide to eat together. or sometimes, whoever is the family that happen to cook a huge amount of dinner or ordered an extra pizza would call and invite the other. Oh, we enjoyed those impromptu dinners.

Oh, there are a lot of things that makes the Sowers special...and there are a lot of reasons why I hate to see them go... Too many to mention... although I'd mention some:

Their kids M and C are good friends with our kids G and N. Specially, G and C. G would terrible miss C.

B and K are wonderful people. They are among the friends who understand and appreciate B's humor. They are among the few who I feel very comfortable being around with. Their parenting styles are quite similar to ours (that helps when your kids are good friends).

B is already in the mainland. K and the kids are following him in a less than a couple weeks. Waahhhhh - I'm going to miss them.

I'm so sorry your friends are leaving. Sounds like you have a great relationship.

I had marked this to comment last week....your friends sound so awesome. It's wonderful when you "connect" with neighbors like that! I would hate to see them go, too! I hope ya'll can stay in touch.
