And The Blogging Continues...

"How many hits do you get a day?" my husband asked today.

"Hmmm... average of 60 a day" I answered. I was looking at my sitemeter when he asked the question so I was confident I gave him the correct answer.

"How many of those are yours?" he asked again. Ouch! I know I'm busted! "Hmmm.. average 20". I replied.

Therefore, I only have about 40 hits a day average. Thanks to the Sunday Scribblings, Wordless Wednesday and Works For Me Wednesday visitors, that number is up. Had I not been participating in those 3 "carnivals", I probably would have an average of 10 visits a day (maybe less).

But I am not complaining. I love those 10 solid visits (more or less). They check in consistently everyday. I am thrilled when I look at my sitemeter and I recognize the domain names of my regular beloved readers like Gem (my sister in law), hockeymum and Patti (my Schwabbie friends) visiting daily. I am happy that I get comments on a regular basis...happy that somehow I feel I am making new friends, my blogging friends. I won't name names because I am not sure if I'm also already considered a "friend", yet((wink!))....

In my dashboard it was written that I have written 128 posts since I started on November 18, 2006. I have a total of 2,557 visits to date. I know 25% of that is probably my own clicking...but it doesn't matter. The important thing is that I am still blogging, and still enjoying it.

HI - I took a week off of blogging so maybe that's why you didn't see your comments. Thanks for checking in. I'm back on track again. And congrats on the hit counter going up.

Hi - thanks for stopping by my blog, and leaving comments! Blogger comments were misbehaving a lot last year when they were switching to the new blogger. Rest assured that I never deleted any, in fact I have been lucky enough never to get any comments I didn't like.
Anyway, do you know that you can st sitemeter so it doesn't record your visits? Might mean a reduced hit count, but you know they are all genuine visits! I tend to think a bunch of loyal visitors you know is better than getting lots of hits. In fact it kind of scares me when I don't know who people are and why they are reading!
Glad your still enjoying blogging! And you are welcome round my blog anytime!:)

Thanks MamaP and Kamsin, glad to hear from both of you. You'd see me visiting your blogs often as I do really enjoy them.

Kamsin, didn't know that I am able to do that (sitemeter not to record my visits). I will check it out. i'll like it if it won't count my visit :)

I love reading your blog.
My Philipina friends enjoyed your memories of Christmas carolling. I'm trying to spread the news of your blog to get that sitemeter up.

Liza - you and I have SO MUCH in common that I'd be happy to consider you my "friend". Funny thing is, I had the exact same conversation with my husband not too long ago. LOL!! The way I see it, if I touch even one person daily, I've done my "job". :) Good to meet you! I will add your Blog to my favorites. Have a very BLESSED day!

I started when you did and I love it! I don't keep track but I love the connections I've made. It is sad that we can't connect with everyone in the clubs. Nice to meet you and I'll be back!

I started blogging in June but didn't get seriously hooked until September. It still amazes me how important the number of hits matter and that your regular readers keep coming back to comment.
I still cannot decide if this is a gift or an illness.
Nice post. See you again.

I am so glad you enjoy blogging, because I love to read your posts! (Although, I read through Bloglines.com, so not all of my hits are counted.)

Did you figure out how to hide your hit counts? I think it is under Manager > Ignore visits. I think the majority of my hits are mine on my blogs too!
